Ashton Gerry's 95 Saab 9000 CDE V-6My Saab Story, This car has 80,000 miles on it and it runs like a fine machine, but it sprung a leak in a coolant hose and when I went to fill with antifreeze, I saw that it had sludge in the coolant container. The Saab dealer told me that the oil cooler had ruptured and spread coolant through the system. They estimated $2500-$3000 to fix plus another $900 for a timing belt..och! I took it to a Saab repair shop and was told that this was a problem and that Saab did not want to do a recall, so that instead they would replace the oil cooler when one brought the car in for regular maintenance. Is this true? Any help or suggestions? |
